This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds are issued for purchases made on the Gatherlane Platform at gatherlane.events. Please read it carefully before making any purchase. By completing a purchase on the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.
When you purchase an Event Tier (Silver, Gold, Platinum, or Diamond) and publish your event, the tier fee is non-refundable as a general rule. This is because publication immediately provides you with access to the Platform's infrastructure, invitation delivery services, guest management tools, and other tier benefits.
If you have purchased an Event Tier but your event has not yet been published, you may request a full refund within 24 hours of purchase by contacting support@gatherlane.events. After 24 hours and before publication, refund requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis at Gatherlane's sole discretion.
Gatherlane may, at its sole discretion, issue a partial or full goodwill refund or Platform credit in exceptional circumstances, including significant Platform outages that materially affected the delivery of your event. Goodwill refunds are not a right and shall not constitute an admission of liability.
If a payment is processed successfully but the event tier is not activated due to a confirmed technical failure on Gatherlane's part, we will activate the tier or issue a full refund within 5 business days. Please report such issues immediately to support@gatherlane.events with your payment reference.
Payments made to upgrade an event to a higher tier are non-refundableonce the upgrade has been applied. Upgrades take effect immediately and provide immediate access to expanded guest limits and features. Downgrades that would result in a partial refund are not offered.
Add-Ons (including WhatsApp invitation packs, WhatsApp reminder packs, extra storage blocks, AI Unlock, and Custom Domain) are non-refundable once activated or consumed.
If an Add-On fails to activate due to a confirmed technical failure on Gatherlane's part, we will activate the Add-On or issue a full refund within 5 business days.
Ticket refund policies for individual events are set by the Event Owner, not by Gatherlane. Event Owners may configure their own refund terms at the time of ticket tier creation. Guests should review the refund terms displayed on the event page before purchasing a ticket.
Gatherlane facilitates the payment processing of ticket transactions. Gatherlane is not responsible for issuing ticket refunds except: (a) where a refund is required by applicable consumer protection law; (b) where the event is cancelled by the Event Owner and the Event Owner has not issued a refund; or (c) where a technical failure on Gatherlane's part resulted in a duplicate charge. If an Event Owner cancels a ticketed event, the Event Owner is responsible for refunding ticket purchasers. If the Event Owner fails to do so within 14 days of the cancellation, Guests may submit a refund claim to Gatherlane at support@gatherlane.events. Gatherlane will investigate and may issue refunds to Guests from the Event Owner's held funds where applicable, subject to available balance.
Archiving, rescheduling, or modifying an event does not automatically trigger a refund obligation on Gatherlane. Guests with concerns should contact the Event Owner directly or raise a dispute through the Platform.
Refunds relating to Vendor Bookings are governed by the cancellation matrix below and the Vendor Agreement. Gatherlane holds the booking payment until after the event and distributes it according to the applicable cancellation rule.

Refunds for Vendor Booking cancellations are credited to the original payment method used by the Event Owner within 7–14 business days, subject to Paystack's processing timelines.
Promotional discounts applied at checkout have no cash value and are not refundable. If a refund is issued on a transaction where a promotional discount was applied, the refund amount will reflect the actual amount paid after the discount, not the pre-discount price.

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed within 7–14 business days, depending on your bank and Paystack's processing timeline.
Refunds are issued in the same currency as the original transaction (typically GHS — Ghanaian Cedis for the primary market). Gatherlane is not responsible for any exchange rate differences or foreign transaction fees applied by your bank or card issuer.
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes any statutory rights you may have as a consumer under applicable law, including rights under the Ghana Consumer Protection Act Lawyer to confirm applicable statute or, for EU consumers, rights under applicable EU consumer protection directives (including any right of withdrawal applicable to digital content). Where statutory rights apply, they take precedence over this policy.
Gatherlane reserves the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. Changes will not affect purchases made before the policy update.
